Crowd chows down at food truck park opening

Food trucks at the event included CocoRays and Cocido House of Lawrence, Meanie Panini of Methuen, and The Food Train and Spiceventure of Lowell.


Several city and state officials, along with numerous city employees, were on hand sampling food at the opening. After encouraging attendees to get in line when the event kicked off around 5 p.m., Mayor Daniel Rivera made the rounds of the trucks. Among his selections were chicken dumplings and a beef stick from Spiceventure, which he called “good quality food.”


“We're very excited about this,” Rivera said. “For us, it's really showing that there's fun stuff to do in downtown Lawrence.”
